The Top 5 Reasons You Should Stick To The PS2

The console war has been raging on for some time now. People still want to know; what console should I buy? Well I have to tell you-- the answer to this one is quite the simple one. There is only one console for you this year, and that is the PS2. Here is your top 5 reasons.

#5) Games Library

The game library for the PS2 is much much much larger than all of the other consoles... combined. You can never go wrong with the thousands of games for the PS2 and there is a little something for everyone, whether it's the classics or something newly released.

#4) Other Consoles Shifting Price

Why invest in another console when its price could be dropping in the near future. Of course the prices will be dropping for the rest of its life, but not as much later on. I would rather hold out on paying for a new console.

#3) Console War

The console war is still raging on, it is anyones game. I am less interested in buying consoles when there is no clear victors. You see, I am predicting at this point a new Xbox by late 2009 or early 2010. I will also be predicting an early exit from the Wii in 2010. I firmly believe that if there is any doubt at all that a console is leaving a race then you probably don't want to buy it.

#2) Cheap Games

Purchase Madden 2008 for $30 on the PS2 or $60 on the PS3/xbox360/wii. I will take the 30$ copy thank you. All of the games released to the PS2 are $30 or less, that is a huge bargain. Where as if you plan to purchase a new release for any other consoles expect the $60 price tag.

#1) Cheap

The best feature of the PS2 is its amazing price point. What is it now $120? That is a cheap thrill that offers more than consoles with price points 3 times as high. There is a lot less risk involved too, no worrying about early dropouts. It also appeals to people fearing bricked consoles, if you have owned a 360... you know what I am talking about.
